History
With only $400 and a meager office and phone (paid for by Life Advocates for the first seven months), Heather Berkeley and Sandra Andrews opened the doors to the first The Crisis Pregnancy Center of Houston on May 17, 1982. They later changed their name to Care Net Pregnancy Centers of Houston.

In 2002, the Board of Directors realized a needed for a center in the Northeast quadrant of Houston. A satellite office was established on the corner of Mesa Drive and Tidwell, and in 2006, Care Net merged with Hope Pregnancy Center to make up our third center located at 13155 Westheimer.

Since our inception in 1982, we have grown to an annual budget of over $700,000, with three centers serving the women and children of Houston. In 2006, Care Net saw 3002 clients, with over 200 women committing their lives to Christ. January 2007 started a new chapter in our legacy as the centers changed names and our incorporation from Care Net to “The Source for Women of Houston.”
